earth day 21.

happy earth day my sweet friends!

today I wanted to share some nature photos, quotes & poems I have collected over the past year.

i am so grateful for mother nature & the immense beauty she shares with all of us. the time i spent in nature really got me through everything that was 2020. i spent so many afternoons drifting on the lake, sitting under the shade of a tree, exploring a new landscape or ending the evening with a sunset hike.

thank you mother earth for your loving spirt.

thank you for always allowing me a space to “be”.

thank you for rest on cold winter evenings by the fire.

thank you for cleansing me with the gentle breeze on an autumn morning.

thank you for growth as new flowers bloom each season.

thank you for the energy that the summer sun brings to light.

thank you for healing me, teaching me, seeing me, loving me – exactly as i am.

“Hello, sun in my face. Hello you who made the morning and spread it over the fields…Watch, now, how I start the day in happiness, in kindness.”

Mary Oliver

“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring – these are some of the rewards of the simple life”

John Burroughs

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”

A.A. Milne

“Once upon a time, when women were birds, there was the simple understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the world through joy. The birds still remember what we have forgotten, that the world is meant to be celebrated.”

Terry Tempest Williams

“Nature never became a toy to a wise spirit. The flowers, the animals, the mountains, reflected the wisdom of his best hour, as much as they had delighted the simplicity of this childhood.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven’t time, and to see takes time – like to have a friend takes time.”

Georgia O’Keeffe

thank you for being here with me 🙂

sending you peace & love today.
